Peter van Schelven is associated with Cordemeyer & Slager / Advocaten as of counsel.
He has more than thirty years of experience in the fields of IT law, tendering and alternative dispute resolution. He is frequently invited as a guest speaker and lecturer – and quite welcome – at seminars and conventions and at various training institutes.
Peter has gained a very broad experience as legal counsel at Vomac and Capgemini, as an attorney-at-law at CMS Derks Star Busmann and as a legal counsel and interim director of Nederland ICT, an ICT industry organization.
Peter regularly lectures at universities in the Netherlands and abroad, amongst which Erasmus University Rotterdam and the postgraduate course Informatics at Grotius Academie.
Peter is the owner of legal advice firm ‘BIJ PETER – Wet & Recht’, which he started in 2014.
Publications
Peter regularly writes articles, columns, annotations, and commentaries for books and magazines. He is also the author or co-author of various textbooks and other professional literature in the fields of IT law, ADR, and procurement law.-
Current additional positions
Peter is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Foundation for Internet Domain Registration in the Netherlands (SIDN), a member of the Board of Appeal of the Stichting Examenkamer, a board member of the Foundation for the Settlement of Automation Disputes (SGOA), a columnist for iBestuur, and a lecturer/examiner at the Grotius Academy.
