Sara van Mourik has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): general practice, civil law.
Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
Sara van Mourik specializes in intellectual property law, contract law and civil procedural law. She advises on litigation and commercial contracts, including those in the fields of IT, IP, media and advertising law, consumer law, e-commerce and internet law.
Sara studied at Amsterdam University and Fordham University in New York. She graduated from Amsterdam University in 2007, having specialized in private law and intellectual property law and started as an attorney-at-law at Clifford Chance in Amsterdam. In 2013, she did a secondment on behalf of Clifford Chance at Amazon’s EU headquarters in Luxembourg. She worked at Clifford Chance Amsterdam for more than 10 years in the litigation and intellectual property practice area, where she brought legal proceedings and advised national and international companies in the fields of intellectual property law and contract law.
Afterwards, in her role as counsel, Sara advised various (national and international) clients and law firms, in the fields of intellectual property law, IT contracts, and IT litigation.
Since January 2025, Sara has been working as a partner at Cordemeyer & Slager / Advocaten.
